We'd like to thank all of you for your continued support of CITY|SPACE. We had a great year, including a successful fundraiser last spring and record turn-out for Asphalt Shorts III in October, 2005. Behind the scenes though, we’ve been scheming up several new projects and are very excited about them. Get on the Bus, an exhibit currently being assembled and curated by CITY|SPACE, will be a multi-media exploration and celebration of our least-loved form of transit: the bus. We’re planning an exhibition June 16th to July 2nd, 2006 and the publication of an anthology of true bus stories as well as a number of special events. And that’s just one of the projects we have brewing.
Over the past couple years as we’ve been developing CITY|SPACE as both an organization and as a concept, a lot of people have expressed interest in getting involved in our work. It’s been gratifying to know that not only is there an audience for the projects we put together, there are also so many of you that want to take part in developing them. Up until now, though, we haven’t done a great job of taking advantage of the resources available to us and finding ways to bring in more volunteers. But now, you guessed it, we’re putting out the word. If you have a service, an idea, a resource, time, a skill, or anything at all that you think might contribute towards the CITY|SPACE mission, let us know!
After filling out the form we’ll put your name in our database of potential volunteers and you’ll be contacted when the magical moment arises and we need your help.
Please indicate which area(s) you’re interested in volunteering for and when you might be available or give us some other idea of how you think you might help.
